21 Efficient HB Suffix

Introduction
This document concerns the representation of a History Buffer (HB) suffix used within a session for an interactive collaboration to transform remote operations.
The algorithms in this chapter use the primitives and properties developed in
20 Composite-operation primitives .

These chapters reconstruct the complete historical development in the 67-page paper. Failed proposals, incomplete proofs, TODOs, numbering anomalies, and later changes of direction are retained. Editorial notes identify known problems, later additions, or relationships to later work without silently replacing the historical argument.
