13. Join a session
Betty launches an instance of CoEdit on her machine. Her working copy is at the start of branch head which is an empty document:
Betty selects Join from the menu:
A dialog appears requesting the hostname and port number to connect to. She enters the following information and clicks OK:
This causes Betty's instance of CoEdit to connect directly to Barney's. Since Barney's instance is on branch bam, Betty's instance first automatically updates from that branch. Therefore Betty's CoEdit window now appears as follows:
